Regardless of what you enjoy doing when you take a vacation, a trip to Spain has it all and then some. If you are into flea markets and such, visit El Rastro. It is reportedly the world’s largest flea market and has everything imaginable. It is open on Sundays and holidays from 10 to 2. Beware of what you buy as particularly cheap items may be stolen. However, it is worth the atmosphere to take a stroll and watch as the streets fill with people seeking a bargain, at least according to the official tourism office of Spain.
Grenada
Another great place to see is the city of Grenada. If you are an art or history buff, this city has much to offer. Madrid

The Reina Sofia National Art Centre has works by the most famous artists such as Picasso and Salvador Dali. And let’s not forget the famous bull-fighting festival for which Madrid is renowned.
Costa del Sol
Costa del Sol is quite unique having the mountains, valleys, and the Mediterranean Sea all in one area. Visiting this area you can experience the fiestas, Easter parades, song contests, and another world famous event, the running of the bulls. The climate here is perfect and many different species of flowers and trees common to tropical areas can be seen here.
Barcelona
Barcelona, of Roman origin, has combined Roman and medieval culture with modernism so as to not forget the past but also to keep an eye on the future. This city is rich in art and history as shown by the many museums, exhibitions, outdoor sculptures along with theatre, music, and dance.
Castillo de Atienza in Guadalajara
Definitely worth seeing is the Castillo de Atienza in Guadalajara. This castle is surprisingly tall, has two walls with a common middle point. The main part was within the first wall and the residential within the second. In the middle were two underground water supplies. From the 12th century it is open for viewing.
Cordoba
Cordoba, an ancient city, which has been declared World Heritage Site, has had many different cultures residing here throughout the years. Cordoba’s historic district has many courtyards and squares which are in themselves worth seeing. From the flamenco festivals to the high speed train which connects Cordoba to all the big cities this city is a great place to visit.
Merida
Merida home to the Roman Theatre and the Amphitheatre is rich in history. The Roman Theatre which was built in the first century B.C. can hold 6,000 people and is decorated with sculptures of deities and imperial figures. The Amphitheatre was where the gladiators wrestled with beasts. Behind the walls of Avila are palaces and Renaissance churches and the monastery of Encarnacion where Santa Teresa lived as a nun for over 20 years.
Toros de Guisando
