If you’re interested in the concept of city bicycling, I am sure that you’re curious about the places which are best suited for this activity. After all, you’re not going to simply be riding around the block a number of times until you become tired of it, right? You’re going to want to explore and go outside of the boundaries you might have set for yourself beforehand. There are a number of areas which are worth cycling inside of and you’ll enjoy the experience which comes with it.
If it’s an idea of traveling in established places that you’re looking into, Portland, Oregon has proven itself. This is mostly because of a number of paths related to cycling that riders can take advantage of, said paths connecting neighborhoods and cities for easier transportation. In addition, it’s a safer way to travel, which is something that I am sure a number of people want. I don’t know if there’s a greater incentive to take up this particular way of travel than this.
City bicycling is done mostly in warmer areas, which is why I recommend San Francisco. This isn’t the only reason why, though, seeing as how it’s a sight to move across the city. For example, I don’t know if there are many other sights that a car can do justice than the Golden Gate Bridge, going across it as you travel because of a daily commute. This is one city out of many that authorities along the lines of Linus Bike can recommend to you.
Perhaps you’re looking for a mixture of the two ideas cited before; look outside of the United States for a moment and check into Canada. There are a number of places worth checking out, Niagara Falls being one of them. If you’re in the mood to travel down a number of paths with your bike, you’re most definitely in luck here. There could be upwards of 2,400 miles – and more, I could imagine – in Montreal made solely for the purpose of cycling and building roads for it.
If you think that these are the only areas of the world that are made for city bicycling, you would be mistaken as these only manage to scratch the surface. All I wanted to do was give an introduction of sorts to this hobby so that people would have a better idea of what to expect when starting out. I am sure that people are not going to want to stay confined to one particular region. In fact, I believe it’s more important to see what’s out there in order to maximize cycling efforts.
